An exciting new year has begun at Notre Dame; young Hounds, like you once were, will reunite with old friends and make new ones, red and white uniforms will dominate the fields and the construction of our brand new off-ice training facility will continue to take shape. The Development and Alumni Office is also preparing for another school year; our office leads fundraising and alumni relations at Notre Dame and work closely with parents, alumni, faculty, staff and other stakeholders on a variety of initiatives. Every Notre Dame student becomes an alumni when he or she leaves the School and we highly encourage you to stay connected.
At this time of the year, plans are underway to host more than 20 events across North America for members of the Notre Dame community. Updates of these events are available on our website and we would love to have you join us (http://alumni.notredame.ca/events). We are also preparing to launch the Annual Fund Campaign, called the #HoundsFund, and Notre Dame Alumni play a vital role in its success. Contributions to the Annual Fund impact the yearly operating budget, allowing Notre Dame to achieve a margin of excellence in education. Our Annual Fund not only enhances Notre Dame’s ability to build and sustain a team of gifted faculty and attract a diverse student body, but also allows the College to allocate resources where they are needed most during the current school year. Some of these resources include renovations and improvements to our current facilities, tutoring support for the Guided Learning Centre and new equipment and uniforms for the Notre Dame Athletics Program. The 2015-2016 #HoundsFund raised $630,000; this number is a wonderful testament to our donors’ commitment to Notre Dame. With your support, we hope to experience another strong year.
When you give to the Annual Fund, you join others in helping to provide an outstanding experience for Notre Dame Students. All gifts, no matter the size, are important and participation from our alumni is a key factor in our success.
