My name is Ron Emerson. I am a commercial real estate broker for Cushman & Wakefield Ltd and the current President of the AMCND BC Chapter.

I left Vancouver in 1996 to attend Notre Dame and left as a proud 4 year Hound. It was an amazing experience which I look back on fondly; I developed some of my best and longest lasting friendships throughout my high school years. The education and commitment to excellence by the faculty made a huge difference in my life—they truly focused on teaching their students and recognizing how teach student learns. They focused on developing the person as a whole—academically, spiritually and physically.

I especially loved dorm life and the sense of community—commitment to serving within your community and the importance of everyone pulling their own weight. During my time at Notre Dame, I met a number of teachers that mentored me and impacted my experience: Alice Dumba, Gerry Scheibel, Archie Ledgerwood and Christian Twomey. And to them I am eternally grateful for making my ND experience what it was.

My gratefulness inspires me to give back to Notre Dame because I want to make sure that this experience will be available for future generations. It is my personal commitment to ensure that deserving students receive the same opportunities that I was
given.

My achievements in life are in large part due to the lessons and values instilled in me by Notre Dame. I show my thankfulness by paying it forward.
